Improved Access

All Improved Access appointments are pre-bookable only.

We offer early morning appointments from 7 am on Tuesday, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays.

We also, along with other local practices, offer evening appointments until 8 pm, on a rota basis, our days for this service are every Wednesday evening. Monday and Friday evenings and Saturday mornings on a rota basis.

The GP appointments can be booked in advance & offered throughout the local area in participating practices, for example you may wish to see a GP in the evening on a Tuesday and this would be provided by a GP at the Vines Medical Practice or Shepway Medical Practice.  This new initiative is rota based, please talk to our Reception Team for further details.

We also offer Practice Nurse and Health Care Assistant pre-bookable appointments in the evenings, please note some procedures cannot be undertaken in these slots.  Ask at Reception.

Bank Holiday's / Staff Training

Protected Learning Afternoons known as PLT are regular training afternoons where the surgery closes its doors to patients.  These afternoon dates are faciliated by the West Kent Clinical Commissioning Group in advance to all the West Kent practices  - out of hours cover is provided by IC24 (which provides all out of hours cover).  There is an ansaphone message advising of the telephone number to ring for urgent medical care.

Some of the training is external - sessions set up by West Kent CCG or sessions held at the surgery where we have training on many topics including basic life support etc.
